For beginners, I recommend going along the valley, and for intermediate and above, I recommend going along the ridge. The icing on the cake is if you follow the valley through Gwanaksan Station. It is better to buy kimbap and water at Gwanaksan Station. Of course, Yeonjuam is a famous cup ramen restaurant. When going home, take the bus from Seoul National University of Technology and take frequent breaks. The closer you get to the summit, the more people there are, so be careful. Safety is our priority. When you get to the top, they sell ice cream, water, etc. There are quite a few people who run away without paying. So, all you have to do is transfer it to your bank account and show it or prepare cash. Usually, if you carry only water, it is more than 100kg, and if you carry everything else, it is 30kg. Don't waste someone's hard work, and don't forget to take the trash with you after eating.
These days, the Yeonjudae at the top of Gwanaksan Mountain is so crowded that there is no space to walk. I've been coming here for over 15 years, but this is the first time I've seen so many hikers like today. People waiting to take a photo in front of the summit sign stood in a long line all the way to the observatory toward Yeonjuam. I hope that the influx of young people will continue and not be a temporary fad. This is because it goes beyond simple taste and is also connected to love of country. In fact, the number of people visiting Eungjinjeon under the performance table has increased significantly. Recently, when it was introduced on YouTube as “the best place for prayer near Seoul,” young people flocked to it to make their wishes come true. In Buddhist scriptures, there is a saying, ‘Ilche Yusimjo (一切唯心造)’. It means that everything depends on your mind. If each step of those climbing the mountain contained their own wishes and passion, wouldn’t that in itself be meaningful? .

Gwanaksan Mountain, which has become a representative tourist attraction in Seoul, was crowded with people climbing and descending with their own wishes. There was a lot of traffic, but thanks to the moderately cool breeze, I was able to take my steps slowly, one step at a time. At the beginning of the hike, there was large ice frozen on the ground, which gave the dizzying sight of several people slipping. Although the area around the summit was literally crowded, Gwanaksan Mountain, which I visited after a long time, still gave me a pleasant time.
Most hiking destinations are summits. No matter where you climb, the summit of Mt. Gwanak is not easy. Although it looks low, it is a dark mountain so the ups and downs are intense. It's so much fun. The charm of the summit, which can be reached only after passing through the muscular rock ridge, is full of charm. The Chinese character for ‘Gwanaksan Mountain’ carved into a natural rock on top of a slanted rock ridge was taken from the handwriting of Chusa Kim Jeong-hee, a famous penman of the late Joseon Dynasty. Thanks to its dignity, Jeongsangseok has become a certified landmark. However, few people know the owner of the writing. Of all the countless days, today was the most crowded. After a fortune teller said that Gwanak Mountain's energy is good, young people from all over the country flocked there, and more than a hundred people lined up to take a photo. There are also a lot of people trying to go to Eungjinjeon Hall, which is built on a cliff. No one knows when this trend will end. I hope that as young people hike, all hikers become younger. .
The Gwanaksan Mountain Band was mentioned several times on broadcast by fortune teller Park Seong-jun. The time required for hiking varies depending on the blog post, but as of 2026-02-04, Seoul National University Architectural Environment Research Institute, based on hiking Mt. Snowy Mountain with crampons? It took about 50 minutes to go up to the concert hall and drink water three times. There is also a small sanctuary inside the band. After climbing, you have to go next to the summit of Gwanaksan Mountain to see it. Happy New Year everyone!

260323 Azalea is preparing to bloom. This is the road up from Exit 4 of Sadang Station.
There were really a lot of people today. There are not many toilets in Gwanaksan Mountain. I recommend going through Seoul National University Station or Nakseongdae Station. To get to Seoul National University Station, I recommend taking exit 3, take 5513, or take the bus to Seoul National University Station and transfer to numbers 5511 and 5516. I recommend taking village bus number 2-1 to Nakseongdae Station. When you go, bring an energy drink and something to eat, and take breaks along the way. Please wear regular comfortable shoes and clothes. The ground is slippery after it rains, so be sure to wear shoes with non-slippery soles. Please note that it cannot be bear-free. Because this is a rocky mountain. There are ropes and wooden railings everywhere. However, you have to be careful because the wooden railings sometimes shake. Please also bring trash bags.
Yeonjudae is a must-pass when going to the top of Gwanaksan Mountain. Yeonjudae is a Gyeonggi-do monument located on the cliff at the northern top of Yeonjuam, 629 meters above sea level. The band does not come out right away, but you first arrive at a place where you can see the view of the band in the distance. The music stand built on top of the cliff was amazing, so I admired it, took a photo, and took a moment to catch my breath while looking down at the wonderful view of Mt. Cheopcheop Mountain. When you climb the stairs, you suddenly reach the top and it only takes 3 minutes. Then, if you go to the back right of Jeongsangbi and go down a few steep stairs, you will come to the band. A small Buddhist temple is decorated with red lanterns swaying in the wind in the background. Although the space was small, there were many people bowing. I also came to make a wish. It’s a place where I felt healed even during my short stay.⛩️

Because it was a mountainous terrain, I couldn't speed up, so my companions were already ahead of me, and I was climbing slowly. But a hiker followed me silently and suddenly attacked me! I pushed past. I was so shocked that I took a wrong step and fell. 99.99% of the hikers who visited here were polite and nice people. But on this day, I met 0.01% of evil people. When I arrived at the temple, I ate a snack to calm myself down, and then continued hiking again. When I was going down the mountain, I was going down the Gukgibong course, and an elderly person very kindly told me that [Rabbit Rock] was here. Thank you so much. Today, on Mt. Gwanak, I fell down thanks to a wicked person, and thanks to a kind old man, I learned about [Rabbit Rock], which I almost passed by. The day at Gwanaksan Mountain, where I met both bad and good people, was really special.
