Visit to Pal Sikdang near Cheongdam intersection. Had to order minimum 2 servings so we went with samgyeopsal. It looked a bit fatty so we cooked it well-done which took some time, but the server grilled it for us so we could just focus on talking. The moksal we ordered after came thick with fat trimmed as shown, and surprisingly it was juicy and tender — really impressive. Especially touched by the foreign part-timer who grilled the meat with so much care. For Cheongdam the prices aren't over the top, and valet parking was 5,000 won for 2 hours with the option to extend for extra. Loved that too. 120% would return

한돈숙성생갈비 먹었는데 육즙이 풍부해서 놀랐습니다. 정말 맛있습니다. 맛있게 구워주시고 말 안해도 반찬 리필 즉시 해 주셔서 좋았습니다. 네이버 예약으로 껍데기 쿠폰 받아서 먹었는데 두툼하고 쫀득하니 맛있었습니다.

추웠지만 대기없이 들어가서 좋았고, 고기 상태도 좋고 구워줏니까 편하게 먹었습니다.

We ordered 2 servings of samgyeopsal, 1 serving of hangjeongsal, freshwater shrimp stew, and seasoned crab. Palsikdang is famous as a place recommended by a famous chef! The samgyeopsal was delicious and the meat quality was great. I actually like hangjeongsal, but the samgyeopsal was so good that the hangjeongsal ended up taking a back seat. The samgyeopsal was so nutty and flavorful that it tasted best just dipped in salt, with a bit of scallion salad on the side. And freshwater shrimp stew is hard to find these days, so definitely order it too! The broth is so rich that I can finish a bowl of rice just with that stew.

When it comes to meat, fresh is best. Most people think of marinated dwaeji galbi, but I believe the real deal is saeng galbi — and Palsikdang delivers. At 22K won per serving it's not cheap, but for Cheongdam-dong it's reasonable. The gibeuri-sal and hangjeong-sal were also fresh and tasty. They've got the trendy dipping setup — salt, jang, wasabi — which makes eating more fun. Staff grill the meat for you so you can just relax and enjoy. Their signature finisher is "Yujong-ui Mi" — a fried rice with galchi-sokjeot and minced pork topped with a sunny-side-up egg. Generous portion for 2-3 people, perfect way to end the meal. Highly recommend if you want a comfortable grilled meat experience!
