After my schedule I noticed a bunch of celebrity signatures on the wall so I ordered a single portion of tteokbokki. This photo was taken right when I got it. The owner saw me — a woman visiting from out of town — and muttered something rude under her breath, but the place looked popular locally so I sat down and ordered anyway. When an older gentleman came in later and ordered tteokbokki and odeng, she cheerfully told him to enjoy. She placed my odeng broth at the far edge of the table but set his right in front of him. The taste is a clean sweetness with a slightly numbing spice — but honestly nothing you can't find elsewhere. The odeng broth was meh.
