Friendly restaurants are rare these days. This place goes way beyond just the basics. The food — now I see why people line up for it. Absolutely the best!!! No argument.

츠케멘 국물이 너무 차가워요...아이스 콜드... 미적지근한것도 정도가 있지 한 40도나 되려나 모르겠어요 너무 차가움... 점심시간이라 그냥먹었어요

After much deliberation I went with the classic Hotomen. The noodles are thin and the chashu is thick but tender with deep flavor. Toppings are sukju (bean sprouts), green onion, and wood ear mushrooms — really well balanced. Seems like garlic in the broth too. Not greasy at all, savory with great umami. Staff was friendly, though as other reviews mention, the AC isn't great and the water wasn't cold either — more lukewarm than cool? Japanese ramen shops usually blast the AC and serve ice water so you can enjoy hot ramen comfortably... am I asking too much? lol The ramen was absolutely delicious though. Would go back even in summer.
