Newly opened on the 4th floor so I checked it out. Tables are nicely spaced, ceiling is a bit low which is a shame, but it was quite busy. The kaymak toast was special and went perfectly with coffee! Wish they gave a bit more bread though~~~!!!!

It was a weekend so Times Square was packed — really hard to find seats. Wanted to try the Turkish sand coffee but it was more acidic than expected. Might be a love-it-or-hate-it thing.

Weekend Times Square.. on the 4th floor cafe.. peak chaos lol. Once you grab a seat though, it's a great spot lol. You know what I mean.. The iced americano was so good.. But it was hectic and the wait for a seat (not the cafe's fault, it's the location..) drained my energy so my judgment might be off. But I was satisfied.

The weekend part-timers here are the absolute worst. Out of every rude staff I've ever encountered, this was the worst. The guy taking orders at the register had this I-don't-want-to-be-here tone and expression — ruined my mood in that brief moment. While sitting near the counter drinking my coffee, I overheard the staff trash-talking other customers. The coffee's taste goes without saying. Never going back. You don't have to be super friendly, but when your staff lacks basic manners, it makes you wonder if they can't find anyone better. Other Nontanto locations in department stores aren't like this — makes you think this attitude is the store's brand.

The coffee is good. The desserts are very sweet. I had a chestnut bread — the moist yellow custard cream inside paired perfectly with the chestnut jam and bread all together.

After walking around Times Square with my brother, I was thirsty too and he said let's get something to drink, so I was happy. I had really wanted to check out Nontanto. We finally made it. ^^ Yay~ My brother was pretty intrigued too. The only downside was that the acidity was quite strong, not really my style — but my brother barely drank his, so I mixed in a bit of water to dilute it and it was perfect. ^^
