[Suyu, Gangbuk-gu] I had reason to be in the area and picked up some bread. The owner mentioned hamburgers and this bread are the main items, so I got some. Tasted great at home. The old neighborhood I once lived in — most of the single-family houses are gone now, replaced by countless villas. If that counts as change, so be it. The faint traces of a neighborhood that once buzzed with the stories of Yoo Jae-seok's middle school and Kim Hee-ae's elementary school feel like too little to hold onto now. It made me wonder whether my father's generation, who chose warmth and charm over economic pragmatism, made the right call. Ah... where did all the life go...
