I enjoyed seeing Seolleung and Jeongneung Royal Tombs. I came to Bongeunsa Temple to see the plum blossoms and visited because it was nearby. It takes about an hour to see it all. It's located in downtown Seoul, so it's great to see while taking a walk. I want to visit in all four seasons~~

Walking around Seolleung and Jeongneung in early spring reminds me of the picnic paths I took when I was young. It's nice to walk like a stroll.

It was a good time^^~ Thank you.
Seolleung (宣陵) is the tomb where King Seongjong (成宗), the 9th king of Joseon, and his second wife, Queen Jeonghyeon (Queen Yun), are buried together. This tomb is located within Seonjeongneung Royal Tomb located in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Seonjeongneung is a combination of Seolleung and Jeongneung (the tomb of King Jungjong). Seolleung follows the Dongwon Lee Gangneung format. This is a method of placing the tombs of the king and queen on different hills rather than the same hill. When viewed from the front of the pavilion, King Seongjong is buried on the hill on the left and Queen Jeonghyeon is buried on the hill on the right. King Seongjong died in 1494, and Seolleung was built at its current location the following year, 1495. Later, in 1530, when Queen Jeonghyeon, the second queen of King Seongjong, passed away, her tomb was buried on the east side of Seolleung. .
I visited Seolleung and Jeongneung Royal Tombs during the Lunar New Year holiday, and thanks to free admission, my steps were much easier. The information board in front of the ticket booth listed the viewing hours and that it was free during the holiday season. It varies depending on the season, but on this day it opened at 6 a.m., so I was able to leisurely look around until the sun set. It was a special day, walking through the quiet of the holiday and the time of Joseon, even in the middle of the city😃😃😃

I walked around Seonjeongneung Royal Tomb, which houses the tombs of King Seongjong, the 9th king of Joseon, Queen Jeonghyeon, and King Jungjong, the 11th king. Leaving history behind, in my eyes, the fruits of the camellia tree are swaying in the wind, the fruits of the bamboo tree are ripe and hanging as if they are about to burst, and the fruits of the cypress tree are beautiful and reminiscent of coral. I forgot the name. Purple fruits are plentiful~ Cornus officinalis fruits are ripening and red hawthorn trees are a harmony of green and red! It was the most beautiful body. As if in anticipation of fall, the leaves of the stinkhorn tree were yellow. As I walked along the path, I felt like I was walking through a forest full of moss and ferns. As I walked, I looked around the stone statue, the lagoon, the sunset, the funeral... the memorial hall and the memorial hall where ancestral rites are being prepared. My heart is calm and at ease~
☆Unlike Jeongneung, Seolleung allows you to see the tombs up close, and the queen's tomb is also there, so it's fun to compare and see them. ☆Note: Closed on Mondays, 6 - 9 p.m., no running. I hope you walk by fishing route. There is a restroom at the entrance, so I recommend doing something at the entrance first. ☆Recommendation: It is fun to watch with a commentator and ask questions. You can also listen to explanations about trees. ☆If you are not a Gangnam resident, you can see it by paying only 1,000 won. ☆Reference: Located in Gangnam. During the Joseon Dynasty, a tomb was built 10 ri outside the palace. Queen Yeonsangun's father and King Jungjong's third wife, King Jungjong's mother, was robbed during the Japanese invasions of Korea during the Japanese invasions of Korea and her body was destroyed. So UNESCO originally tried not to register it, but it is located in the city center and descendants perform ancestral rites there.

It is an attractive place to see Seolleung up close. Although you cannot enter at night, it is an attractive place even from the outside. It is a healing place that can be felt in the middle of Seoul. This is a great walking trail with a view of the green grass in spring.
I really like it. Being able to get this close to the royal tomb lets you see its structure properly. I think the only royal tomb I've been able to approach this closely was King Sejong's tomb. It would probably look even better when it's warmer, with the green grass and forest.
