After King Danjong, the 6th king of the Joseon Dynasty, went into exile and was killed, King Jeosun of Husong built an octagonal pavilion on Dongmangbong Peak, where he looked towards the east every day and prayed for King Danjong's blessing. It is called 'Dongmangjeong'.

This is the park that Queen Jeongsun visited when she stayed at Cheongnyongsa Temple. Dongmangbong Peak, which people miss while looking at Yeongwol, where Danjong is located at the end of the park, is the highlight. You can get there by leaving Cheongnyongsa Temple and walking along the road next to Xi Apartment for about 5 minutes. Since it is a neighborhood park, there are mainly exercise equipment and badminton courts. If you climb up and come down from Dongmangbong, there is a path that goes directly toward Dongmyo Station, so after coming down for about 10 minutes, you will arrive at Dongmyo Station.
