Best spot in Hongje. Honestly the best food I've had in Hongje-dong... Just look at the photos and you'll see how incredibly fresh the meat is. Even if you don't know much about meat, you can tell the quality is top-notch lol. The owner is calm and friendly, and the place is spotlessly clean.

홍제동에서 제대로 된 삼겹살 맛집 찾다가 방문했는데, 왜 유명한지 바로 알겠더라고요 😊 꽃처럼 펼쳐진 꽃삼겹살 비주얼부터 시선 강탈! 불판에 올리자마자 지글지글 소리와 함께 고소한 향이 확 올라오는데, 한 입 먹는 순간 겉은 바삭하고 속은 촉촉해서 육즙이 가득 느껴졌어요. 특히 미나리랑 같이 구워 먹으니까 느끼함 잡아주면서 훨씬 깔끔하게 즐길 수 있어서 계속 손이 가더라고요. 된장찌개에 바지락까지 들어가서 국물도 깊고, 계란찜까지 함께 먹으니 조합이 정말 좋았어요 👍 직원분들도 불판이나 반찬 리필 계속 신경 써주셔서 더 편하게 식사할 수 있었고, 친구랑 오랜만에 여유롭게 맛있는 시간 보내기 딱 좋은 곳이라 재방문 의사 100%입니다 💛

Came for hangover cure mul-milmyeon (cold wheat noodles in broth) today and it was so good I kept eating ❤️🫶 Love that they always greet you with a smile~ The meat is amazing too, so happy~ Come eat lots everyone!!

Visited Kkotdwaeji Restaurant today with my husband and kid — our go-to BBQ spot whenever we're in Hongje-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. As always, the owner and staff were so warm and welcoming, and the signature pork belly was absolutely delicious! I love the doenjang jjigae and my husband is a big fan of their green onion salad. When you order meat, they throw in a free doenjang jjigae, which is such a nice touch. The prices are fair and the value is great, so we keep coming back. The standard side dishes are tasty too, and the complimentary wild garlic and dropwort paired perfectly with the meat — we left totally full and happy! If you're ever near Hongje Station, this place is a must. Owner, you moved us once again today ♡ See you next time ^^

1. First of all, the meat is amazing — tried the flower pork belly, and it was chewy and nutty. So good. Don't skip the fried rice either. 2. The side dishes are great — perilla, green onion salad, pickled onions, myeongyi namul, kimchi, garlic, ssamjang, salt, and fermented anchovy sauce. So much variety. 3. Definitely get the steamed egg. It's perfectly savory, nutty, and just slightly salty. Highly recommend. 4. The owner is really kind! 5. The place is clean and the vibe is nice! About 10 tables, not too loud — great spot for meeting up.
