Great spot for a work lunch. The sushi is fresh and it's all seafood except the egg. Comes with salad and udon/memil (buckwheat noodles) so it's a filling meal.

You can really feel how passionate the owner is about cooking — it's the kind of place where you wonder how the food can be this good at this price! The cold naeng-mobil (buckwheat noodles) bursting with katsuobushi flavor was especially impressive! The lineup went through gwangeo (flatfish), sungeo (mullet), yeoneo (salmon), nakji (octopus), jangeo (eel), saeu-jang (shrimp in soy), ojingeo-sal (squid), honggaribi (scallop), and saeu (shrimp). You can eat in any order, but going right to left lets you appreciate the building complexity! Despite the low prices, the shari (vinegared rice) is legit, the fish thickness is perfectly calibrated to each texture — it honestly felt like a full omakase course. The owner's reputation is well-earned! Popular restaurants don't need TV exposure — the crowds speak for themselves! Great for daytime drinking, but next time I'm definitely coming for dinner with a drink.
