Gangneung, the royal tomb of the Joseon Dynasty, is a good place to visit along with Taereung. The parking lot is convenient and it's not crowded, so it's a better place. Recommended places to visit in Nowon-gu

The impact is not as big as the nearby Taereung Royal Tomb. However, if the Taereung and Gangneung forest trails are opened from May 16, it is worth a visit. There are good walking trails nearby such as Taereung-Gangneung-Bulamsan Mountain, so if you live nearby, I recommend a visit.

Today, I came to "Gangneung (Myeongjong and Queen Insun)" next to Samyukdae. Gangneung is the tomb of King Myeongjong, the 13th king of the Joseon Dynasty, and Queen Insun. King Myeongjong ascended the throne at the age of 12 when his half-brother Injong died in 1545 (the first year of King Injong's reign), and his mother, Queen Munjeong, ruled. Eight years later, King Myeongjong personally took care of the country's affairs, kept in check and ruled out maternal forces. It is said that efforts were made to appoint talented people, but the government was in disarray. She passed away in 1567 (the 22nd year of King Myeongjong's reign) and was enshrined in her current position. Queen Insun became queen when Myeongjong ascended to the throne. After Myeongjong's death, she adopted her nephew Haseonggun (Seonjo) and put him on the throne. After eight months of purge, she passed away in 1575 (the 8th year of King Seonjo's reign) and was enshrined in her current position. It's quiet here. I wouldn't have known about this place if I hadn't gone to Taereung. Use the kiosk and scan the QR ticket.
