저녁늦게 도착하니 너무나 감사하게 에그타르트 2개가 남아있었어요. 그래서 에그타르트 올리브치아바타 그리고 무화과통밀머핀을 구입했습니다. 오늘도 친절하게 맞이해주셔서 감사하고 맛있는 빵 만들어주셔서 또 감사드립니다. 칸텐의 빵을 먹으면 속이 편해요. 그래서 더 감사합니다.

오늘은 금요일, 칸텐가는 날!! 에그타르트, 올리브치아바타, 통밀80% ( 빵이름이 기억이 ㅜㅜ)소금빵 미니치즈올리브식빵을 구입했어요. 소금빵은 오늘 옆지기 저녁으로 구입 에그타르트는 토요일 커피랑 먹을 예정 미니치즈올리브식빵은 예비용으로 통밀80% 빵은 오로지 나를 위한 선물!! 즐거운 칸텐나들이!!

동네빵집의 장점: 그날 먹을 것만 살 수 있다. 팬데믹이 지난 후에도 개인사정으로 금토일만 오픈하는 칸텐! 내일 브런치로 먹을 빵만 구입! 일요일 빵은 토요일에!! 그리고는 빵금식주간( 강제?!) 그래서 매일 먹는 속이 편안하고 익숙하고 건강한 빵 에그타르트 소금빵 통말무화과 스콘 나의 최애 올리브치아바타( 올리브 + 발사믹식초에 찍어먹으면 맛나요)만 사가지고 욌답니다. 오늘은 제 앞에 3분이 계셔서 칸텐이 복잡복잡했지만 기분좋은 일이었어요! 건강해지시고 손님이 더 많아서 주중에도 열었으면 하는 바람 근처에도 천연발효 등 건강한 빵집이 많이 생겼는데도 미묘한 차이로 치아바타와 에그타르트는 칸텐만한 곳이 최소(?) 노원구에는 없어요. ( 제 갠적인 생각)

저녁에 가니 깜빠뉴 같은 빵은 이미 솔드아웃 에그타르트,크렌베리스콘, 플레인치아바타를 구입했어요. 내일 아침에 오픈런해야할 듯 해요.

빵이 다 솔드아웃되었를까봐 뛰다싶이 갔는데 칸텐만의 따뜻한 불이 보여 안심, 그런데 애정하는 빵은 남아있어서 소금빵, 에그타르트, 미니올리브식빵, 감자치아바타 를 구입했어요. 올리브치아바타는 이미 솔드아웃!! 덕분에 설명절 아침준비 완료했습니다.

Picked up my favorite egg tart, sogeumbang (salt bread), olive ciabatta, sikppang (white bread), and tongmil muhwagwa scone — one of each. Kanten's ciabatta has a crispy crust and moist inside, just my style. Most other places make their ciabatta too soft. Love the warm glow of Kanten's lights peeking out as you turn into the alley.

It's not even 4 PM and most bread is almost sold out. The olive ciabatta is always gone every time I come so it took two months to finally try it. Egg tart 3,300 won, olive ciabatta 3,000 won, plain scone 2,500 won, salt bread 2,500 won. Used up my spending coupon perfectly!!

I did an opening run at 11. Since they had a whole loaf, I asked if they could slice it to about 3 cm, and they gladly did. I was already thinking about making an open-faced sandwich tomorrow. In Japan, supermarkets sell bread sliced thickly like that (over 3 cm), and it’s so good. Bread thickness really makes all the difference, so I bought the whole-wheat loaf and the milk bread too~~! I’ll definitely do another opening run next time!!

Got there just after the 11am opening and the milk bread was already all sliced up. Asked them to slice the whole wheat bread into 6 pieces instead. Bought a fig whole wheat scone ₩3,300, whole wheat bread ₩4,500, and a corn flake pastry ₩5,500!

Healthy bread heaven — Kanten!♡ Pilgrimage complete!!! The egg tart pastry was soft and thin with the filling packed in — absolutely moved!! And the olive ciabatta is the BEST!!!♡♡ Easy to digest too, and loaded with olives — so impressive!!!! Coming back for sure!!!
