It was great to be able to enjoy a winter waterfall in the city. Parking was easy and the Hongjecheon Stream walking path was good.

Because it's winter, the waterfall freezes and turns white, which is so pretty. It wasn't as big as I thought, but it was pretty so I thought it was worth a visit.

Well-maintained walking trails

The weather is a bit nicer so there are a lot of people taking walks.

This is the scenery around the Hongjecheon Artificial Waterfall, a great place to go for a spring walk or ride. The combination of the natural scenery and the old residential area is lovely. There is a mirror photo zone, a cafe, a library, and benches lined up on the opposite side, and there is a well-connected deck path in the back, allowing for a short hike. It's a flat, wide road that's great for pushing strollers and wheelchairs. There's no entrance fee, and it's colorful at night with LED lights.

This is the Hongjecheon Artificial Waterfall. I haven't been there in the winter, but when I came, the scenery was really nice. It's cold, so there aren't as many people as there are in spring and summer (because there's a cafe, so people keep coming), but there are quite a few. There are a lot of people looking at the outside scenery from inside the cafe with warm coffee, and there are also people in a circular place made of plastic like a dome next to it, so I wondered what this place was doing, but I guess it's the cafe customers. It's cold. Water will flow now when spring comes. There were cats eating on the street, so I took a picture because it was pretty. I'll have to come back when it's warmer. It's in Seodaemun-gu, so come check it out. Foreigners are welcome to come and take pictures too.

I didn't know it was artificial, but I found out because it said artificial in the area name on Naver. It's even more surprising that it was created man-made. Centered around the waterfall, there is a water mill, sunbathing beanbag sofas, a cafe, a library, a cultural space, a forest rest area, a bamboo pond, a red clay road, etc., making it a truly valuable healing space. And here lives a pair of very pretty ducks. I have never seen such a pretty duck in my life. I wish there were more pretty ducks like these in the Han River. They are even prettier in person. Hongjecheon Artificial Waterfall is an oasis-like place in the city. The spectacle of a cool 25m high artificial waterfall pouring down provides a wonderful scenery that helps you forget the fatigue of daily life. I came today to see the night view. It's so beautiful.
