I like the park near Choansan Mountain as it is well developed.

These are photos I took when I went to Choansan Mountain to see snowflakes on the first snow day. I walked from Wolgye Station to Choansan Mountain and came down to Choansan Soccer Stadium. I came here to see the winter snow scenery, which was unlike anything in our country.

I was surprised to see such a cute garden, with pumpkins, watermelons, melons, and eggplants.

Go up to Choansan Mountain, located right next to Exit 2 of Wolgye Station. After taking Nokcheonjeong, go through Choansan Sports Town, pass the summit of Choansan Mountain, and descend towards Nokcheon Station. These are all low mountains, so you can hike them even in sneakers, and the trails are good. There are many tombs of eunuchs from the Joseon Dynasty, and there are many relics such as literary stones made during the Joseon Dynasty around the tombs. So, since the entire Choansan Mountain is designated as a cultural heritage area, I have to go there to avoid damaging the cultural heritage. Because the mountain was low, I couldn't find a spot with a good view. You can also go to Yeongchuksan Mountain just 10 minutes south from Choansan Mountain.

Choansan Mountain has a group of more than 1,000 tombs from the Joseon Dynasty ranging from eunuchs, court ladies, noblemen to commoners. It is said that it was designated as Historic Site No. 440, ‘Seoul Choansan Tombs’ on March 9, 2002. It is said that the name Choansan originated from a group of tombs, meaning a comfortable resting place. Choansan Mountain, which stretches from Nowon-gu to Dobong-gu, looks shallow at first glance, but once you go inside, there are several paths and it is higher than you think. When I took the road up from Hydrangea Garden and came out to Chang-dong, I felt a bit eerie. It seems perfect for studying history.
