October 16th at Eunpyeong Pavilion on Baekryun Mountain

It is a low 215m mountain that straddles Eungam-dong, Eunpyeong-gu and Hongeun-dong, Seodaemun-gu, and its name is said to have originated from Baekryunsa Temple, a temple founded during the Silla Dynasty. It feels like a rather short hiking course to climb Baekryeonsan Mountain alone, so we recommend climbing it in conjunction with nearby Ansan Mountain or Inwangsan Mountain. Although it is not a high mountain, the view from the top is quite nice. I went there on a day when it stopped raining, and the sky was clear and the view was nice.

It's been a while since I climbed Baekryun Mountain, which I often went to when I was in elementary school, and it was very refreshing. Although it was disappointing to see a welcome breeze and a neighborhood that had changed a lot from before, it was a refreshing start to the day.

Baekryeon Mountain, which is not very high located in downtown Seoul! It’s great for a short walk around the trail, about an hour! You can also visit in conjunction with Lodge 190 Cafe in nearby Hongjecheon!

Today I went to Baekryun Mountain. I looked at Naver Map and followed along the stairs (thigh pumping) + heart pumping. On the way, I asked a woman passing by if I didn't know where the summit is. Is this the summit???.. Um, he said that Eunpyeongjeong must be the summit. He kindly showed me the entrance. Thank you for giving me this opportunity. When I came up here and looked over, I saw Bukhansan Mountain and almost cried. It was a place I used to go often before my injury, so I had to leave the mountaineering club. Now, even if I want to go, I can't go alone because I don't know the way. Just tears... ㅜㅜ Anyway, I am so relieved that I climbed all the way up here alone!! There is a clock and a good view. There is also Baeknyeonsan Neighborhood Park and Children's Forest. If you come down, you can also take the village bus No. 10 to Seodaemun. Even if you wait, if the bus doesn't come, just walk.

The walking trails are good, and there are several places to visit. The view from the observatory is good, and it seems like a good place to take a light walk. I guess I should just think of the top as the observatory. Haha.

I crossed the bridge from Nokbeon Station Mountain Village and walked Eunpyeong Course 5 to Jeungsan Station~ It doesn't show up on Naver🤔 On the way, Eunpyeongjeong and Baekryun Mountain Observatory are open and refreshing😆 It rained the day before so I thought it might be slippery, but luckily it was okay👏👏But it was a bit difficult because there were stairs all the way down😂Hell of stairs.. a beginner course. I recommend it. It took me 2 hours, but if you walk fast, it will take about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
