Umyeonsan Mountain Hope Tower. A day of walking to feel the mood of late fall. The pretty autumn leaves that still remain. If it rains and the wind blows, I think it will all fall out now. It was a fun time.

This is a place with a view of the northwest of Seoul. The road up was steep and there were many stairs, but the view from Soming Top was healing. There is also someone selling ice cream. It was 1,500 won per piece.

There are two ways to climb from the Seoul Human Resources Development Center to Umyeonsan Mountain’s Somang Tower. There is a way up from the southern ring road and a way up towards the tennis court next to the main building of the Human Resources Development Center. The shorter course to the Somang Tower is towards the tennis court. It's about a 3.5 km round trip from the Human Resources Development Center to Somang Tower, and it takes about an hour at normal speed. As the trail is a low mountain that many people visit, it is comfortable enough to walk in sneakers like a trail. From the Somang Tower, there is only a view of Namsan Mountain to the north and a small view of Cheonggyesan Mountain to the south.

The mountain behind Seocho-gu residents’ precious neighborhood💚 It’s an easy mountain to climb even for beginners without equipment.

There are sections that are steeper than expected, but you can climb them quickly without much difficulty!! If you go from Raemian, it's a bit confusing because there's no sign in the middle.

It takes 5 minutes from Nambu Terminal Exit 5 to the entrance of Umyeonsan Mountain, and about 30 minutes if you climb from the mountain entrance to Somangtap Tower without stopping. The view opens to the north, with a clear view from Yeouido on the left to Lotte World Tower on the right. To the south, only Cheonggyesan Mountain is visible. Among the nearby low mountains, in terms of views, they are Umyeonsan Mountain, Guryongsan Mountain, and Daemosan Mountain, in that order. As it is a low mountain in Seoul, there are good hiking trails and there are no rough paths, so it is a mountain that can be climbed even in sneakers. There is a military base at the top of Umyeonsan Mountain, so this is the summit of Umyeonsan Mountain that the general public can visit. From the entrance of the mountain near the Nambu Terminal, past the Somang Pagoda, and down toward Bodeoksa Temple and the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Training Center, it takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes at the fastest, or about 2 hours at the slowest pace. The restoration work of the Umyeon Mountain landslide is still in progress, and you have to pass through the construction section slightly to complete the trek.
