I pass by this forest often, but I wanted to stop by one more time before the leaves turn red. It's late in the afternoon, but the beautiful colors of the leaves are still there, and the wonderful road covered in autumn leaves is sad because it seems like fall is gone... 🍁🍂🍁 Now, I'm looking forward to seeing the winter snow ^^ Saying goodbye to the leaves~ 🤗

The walking path is good. There is a statue of Dr. Yun Bong-gil and an acupressure walking trail. And there were several green pine caps. I want to come again on a warm day~

Two large great egrets have landed near the newly created waterside park downstream of Yeouicheon. In the dreary air of a winter evening, they are curling their necks up in their feathers as if they are bothered by the world, and are not moving much. It is late afternoon in winter, and the shadows of the trees are long, so the sunlight is short in the forest. It is a time when the playground without the sound of children feels even more desolate. The trees that have shed their clothes and endured the winter may look bleak, but the metasequoia colony looks powerful with its bright maroon trunks stretching out over the golden fallen leaves piled up underneath the trunks. The winter cold is still harsh, but the cold weather has passed and spring is approaching next week, so I think the trees in the forest are preparing for spring in their own way.

[Maheon Citizen’s Forest] Outing. On a day when the temperature dropped to around 25 degrees Celsius in the middle of the day, making me wonder if fall had really arrived, I walked through [Maeheon Citizen's Forest], which still seemed to have the appearance of summer. It was around 1 o'clock on Thursday, when the children's playground, which was always crowded on the weekends, and the benches in the forest were quiet enough to be quiet. At lunchtime, nearby office workers come out for a walk across Yeouicheon to the forest, but today it is quiet enough to pass by, so it feels unfamiliar. Thanks to this, I was able to have a healing time looking closely at the trees and grass and getting closer to the forest.

Yesterday evening, the first snow fell this winter, and [Maeheon Citizen's Forest], decorated with white snow, has a very different feel. The snow-covered forest is quiet, with even the commonly seen green pine trees wondering where and what they are doing. The blue sky, the snow-covered white park, and the silence of the middle of the day with no sign of people are unfamiliar. [Yeouicheon] is flowing water, so it hasn’t frozen.

I walked through Maeheon Citizen’s Forest, where autumn was slowly falling. I feel the silence of the autumn forest, as if I am quietly sinking into my arms, embracing even the chatter, laughter, and noise of the green days. Perhaps because the temperature suddenly dropped, the forest, which few people visit, feels unfamiliar even though it is located in the city center. As time goes by, the dazzling fall foliage will attract people once again, right?

I went to [Maeheon Citizen’s Forest], a gem-like resting place in the city. [Maeheon Citizen's Forest] was created as part of the city maintenance project ahead of the 1986 Asian Games and 1988 Olympics. Zelkova trees, maple trees, quince trees, persimmon trees, and metasequoia trees have grown beautifully, and the walking path has been well maintained by the previous year, making it a pleasant resting place where you can enjoy the rich nature. As fall deepens, we look forward to the time when the colorful autumn leaves will decorate the area and provide yet another joy.
🇰🇷A forest as big as Dr. Yun Bong-gil's arms Maeheon Citizen's Forest is a neighborhood park with a monument to Dr. Yun Bong-gil in Yangjae-dong, Seocho-gu ✅️🌳 A popular walking spot in all seasons (the first forest concept in Korea to be introduced, the elegant and huge forest rises so high into the sky that it was healing just to look at these trees while walking. Also, it is clear that a forest of this size exists in the Yangjae area. It was amazing) ✅️🗽 Maeheon Yun Bong-gil Memorial Hall, statue (commemorating the patriotic hero. There are statues and a memorial hall. Perhaps the park is named after his nickname?) ✅️🧎♀️ Space for modern and contemporary history of the Republic of Korea (there are various memorial towers such as the memorial tower at Sampoong Department Store) ✅️👨👩👧Amenities (barefoot park, exercise equipment, water facilities for children) 📍Course recommended access road➡️Yun Bong-gil Memorial Hall➡️Memorial statue➡️Central towers➡️Water facilities➡️Afterwards, freely enjoy the forest (good to go around in the shape of a box) 📍Meet Dr. Bong-gil Yoon as well Recommended when enjoying the big forest 🅿️250 won per 5 minutes 🚍Bundang Station

Maeheon Citizen's Forest in winter does not have colorful flowers or lush green leaves, but it has a unique depth given by the empty landscape. The metasequoia, which is the symbol of this place, has reddish-brown stems extending straight toward the sky, creating an atmosphere as if you are walking through an elaborate work of art. In the afternoon, when the winter sun is low and casts long shadows across the forest, the sunlight falling through the bare branches feels warm and precious in contrast to the cold air. Today too, a squirrel was busy doing something, so I approached it with the camera on, but it seemed to be completely oblivious, ignoring the other squirrel just 1m in front and focusing on its own business. I'm sure the people he encountered were friendly to him, or at least they weren't rude.

At around noon on a weekday, [Maehun Citizens' Forest] feels exactly as calm as you'd expect. After several mornings of subzero temperatures signaling the start of real winter, the forest seems to be getting ready for the season, with fallen leaves piled thickly along the walking paths. The ginkgo leaves that have mostly fallen already shine in the sunlight, like a golden carpet laid out before you. The mix of red maple leaves burning bright, the golden ginkgo leaves, and the green still left here and there, all lit by the sun, is truly fantastic. If you're sad to see the last of autumn go, come to [Maehun Citizens' Forest]~~
