Gangseo Wetland Ecological Park is an ecological and landscape conservation area located on the banks of the Han River between the southern end of Banghwa Bridge and Haengju Bridge in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. It was created in 2002 and will be designated as the 18th ecological and landscape conservation area in Seoul and the 33rd in the country in 2024. A variety of ecosystems have been created, including reed fields, willow forests, freshwater ponds, and swales. Endangered species such as sandpipers and blacktails and various wild birds live there, and there are spaces where citizens can directly experience and learn about the natural ecosystem, such as a nature observation path, a bird observatory, and an ecological learning program. It is open for free all year round and is about a 2km walk from Exit 1 of Banghwa Station on Subway Line 5. Gangseo Wetland Ecological Park is a representative eco-tourism attraction where you can experience nature and ecosystem up close in the city center.

You can park in Gangseo Parking Lot 1 and visit. The natural ecology is well managed and there is a deck road and dirt road, so it's great for walking or going for a stroll. What's great about going with children is that you can observe birds at the observatory, and when it gets dark, you can see freshwater crabs come out! Picnics are also available on weekends, making it a great hidden spot for an outing😄
Today, I came to Gangseo Hangang Park and Gangseo Wetland Ecological Park by public transportation (taking a bus and transferring to a village bus). It took 46 minutes, not including the time waiting for the bus. It was too far. I got off at the Ecological Park bus stop and walked a little. This place was under construction, so there was a roundabout with construction vehicles? Cars are whizzing by here. It's a bit too much for just children to walk around. Adults, hold hands. There are separate places for cars and people, but there is an open restroom in the parking lot, so I went there after a while. I was worried that there would be no toilet paper, but I was worried for no reason. There was toilet paper, and it was clean inside. When I came over from the parking lot to the ecological park, I was a little confused as I went round and round, so I went back and forth. The road was blocked due to construction. There was a way out from behind the car in the parking lot. I was even more confused. It was so cool and hot because of the humidity.

The trail is well-maintained and separated from the bike path, so it's safe, but there seem to be a lot of ticks between spring and fall. This is my 3rd birthday, and there were just as many. Even if you wear a tick-repellent clip, be careful of ticks when walking your dog. As long as there were no ticks, it was perfect.

Most people ride bicycles and pass by on the bicycle path, so there are very few people inside the park. It is very quiet. It is unmowed and in its natural state, so it would be good for wild creatures to live in. I wanted to see a hawk, but I couldn't find it. It seems like it would be good to bring pets, but compared to the number of trees, there is less shade.
