A longtime resident says first that “before it's a sight, it's a neighborhood people live in.” The old “Ppongppong Bridge” across Gwangjucheon, murals filling the lanes, and a hilltop viewpoint link into a walking route. He suggests, “Don't just take photos — read the stories posted on each stairway.” Cafes and studios dot the alleys for a rest, but since residents live here, walking quietly is courtesy. The downtown seen from the hill at sunset is loveliest.
